Description
This is a competition class. We will concentrate on preparing handlers to achieve AKC Beginning Novice and Novice titles.
Prerequisites: YOU MUST HAVE INSTRUCTOR APPROVAL BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR THIS CLASS
If you are a new student who wants to be considered if a spot becomes available, please email the instructor, summarizing your and your dog’s experience.
Any dog who registers in this class should have a training foundation helpful in perform all the Novice exercises. Heeling on a loose leash & Sit-Stay are a must. Luring allowed in class. Your dog must have the ability to work in a group environment without being disruptive. Dogs in this class are either working towards competition or are competing. Our main focus is Beginning Novice and Novice. Open and Utility are an option if you bring your own jumps. Your dog MUST Be able to stay in a crate or station without disrupting the class.
- A soft crate & chair to set up by the ring, like you would for a show.
- Lots of small moist treats.
- Favorite toy(s).
- Flat Collar preferred. Harness ok. (Harness is not discouraged.)
- A video camera to record your run throughs if you want.
