What are the eligibility requirements for these tests?

To get a CGC title, the dog must be comfortable with the skills that will be tested. There is no age limit for the CGC test. A dog is never too old to be a good citizen.  For more information visit the official AKC Canine Good Citizen Page

The AKC Tricks test stipulates that the dog must be able to perform a minimum number of tricks from the either the AKC Trick Dog Novice Checklist or the AKC Trick Dog Intermediate Checklist  or the AKC Trick Dog Advanced Checklist.
