Description
Please note that Online Zoom Classes are EXACTLY like in – person classes, in the sense that they are offered live and are not recorded. Please make sure the time works for you. We will not offer refunds for schedule clashes.
Instructor: Bea Moore
You don’t need a full rally ring to build strong rally skills. With a space as small as 8×10, or a more comfortable 10×28 garage-sized area, you can still work on your rally skills. In this class, you’ll practice rally, by adapting a course to the space you actually have.
Each week, you will be provided with a course using that week’s selected signs. You will then adapt that course to fit your own training area . If the space is too small for the whole course, choose only some of the signs rather than using them all.
The weekly focus will mostly be on specific foundation skills—such as right and left turns, stands, and stays selected from Novice through Master levels. You’ll learn how to adjust spacing and design courses that maintain flow and clarity, even in tight quarters.
This class is ideal for you if you want to:
-
Work on rally skills without access to a full ring
-
Learn how to adapt and design rally courses for small spaces
-
Build precision, fluency, and teamwork in limited training areas
Supplies: Please have a device with a camera (phone, tablet, or computer) and a tripod or stable stand so your full training space, you, and your dog are visible. You’ll need rally signs (printed) or laminated signs, along with rally numbers.
Rally signs and numbers can be downloaded here:
Space requirements: You’ll need at least 8×10 ft of open space to work 2–3 signs. Often, simply moving a bit of furniture for class provides plenty of room. Your camera should be positioned so it shows you, your dog, and enough floor space for me to clearly see your training and movement.
